Description

Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S), a dynamic and fast-growing joint venture between Raytheon and Rafael, is seeking a results-driven Sr. Global Trade Manager to support execution of major defense programs - most notably the Iron Dome AUR production, Marine Corp Medium Range Intercept (MRIC) and future Air Defense systems.

The Sr. Global Trade Manager will lead import and export licensing activities within Raytheon-Raphael Area Protection Systems LLC business. In this role, you will develop strategy, ensure full compliance with U.S. and non-U.S. trade law, manage risk across imports, exports, sanctions and customs, and provide guidance on all facets of export and import requirements related to licensing and authorizations covered by both ITAR and the EAR.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide expert knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), along with working knowledge of sanctions, embargos, and anti-boycott regulations set forth and administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).          
  • Assist with authoring and implementing international trade compliance policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Provide training to programs, functional organizations and headquarters in trade compliance regulations.
  • Assist with internal audits of company international activity including export licensing, exporting and importing, and record keeping.
  • Drive company-wide trade compliance process improvements, routinely addressing risk, process, and value regarding policy, procedures.
  • Provide daily assistance to programs and support organizations through counsel and guidance regarding U.S. and foreign trade regulations; conduct technical data reviews, process international travel, foreign visitor requests, and shipping transactions; oversee license execution, management and record keeping.
  • Conduct investigations of potential or confirmed violations of trade controls.              

Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.  US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.  
  • 15+ years of trade compliance experience
  • Experience with product jurisdiction and classification.
  • Advanced Experience preparing and submitting export licenses and authorization requests to DDTC and BIS, permits, exemptions, and other requests for export authorizations.
  • Proficient with DECCS, SNAP-R, ACE, and ERP systems.
