SIA will host a roundtable session on Monday, 26 April from 5-6pm
followed by a Reception from 6-8pm

HOTEL

A block of rooms has been reserved at Caesars Palace Las Vegas for the dates of the conference.

The SIA rate is $209/night in the Forum Tower. The SIA block has rooms available on Sun/Mon (4/25-26). The rate for other nights will be the hotel rate. Reservations may be made online or by contacting reservations at 866-227-5944 (ask for the 2010 SIA conference rate; Group Code: SCSIA0). The room block has been reserved until 2 April 2010, or until sold out, whichever occurs first.

Basics Conference - These are typically geared to the newcomer to export controls. The target conference attendee has less than one year of experience. These conferences provide basic "how to" information on filling out and submitting requests for export authorizations (e.g., DSP-5s and technical assistance agreements.) We normally have two such conferences each year, one in the Winter in the western half of the United States and the other in the Summer in the eastern half.

This one-day licensing workshop, “Where the Rubber Meets the Road” is a hands-on workshop designed for people new to the field of export licensing. Through a program scenario and collaborative exercises, attendees will apply the ITAR to real export challenges in order to draft and submit various licensing and agreement requests.

Event Details:

The Fall Conference is targeted to the experienced exporter. While there is some "how to" information provided at this conference, the focus is on more complex issues such as: recent policy and regulatory changes; foreign party due diligence reviews; export licensing and compliance requirements for mergers and acquisitions; recent enforcement actions; and customs and shipping issues.

The conference is designed to address prevalent industry issues as highlighted by our membership. Speakers are drawn from the export controls community, including senior government officials from the Departments of State, Commerce, Homeland Security and Treasury.
