The 2012 Fall Conference will be held on Thursday/Friday, 8-9 November at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, VA. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Crystal Gateway Marriott for the dates of the conference. The SIA room rate is $229/night plus tax (single/double occupancy). There is a $35 fee for all cancellations and bank returned checks. Refunds will not be provided for cancellation requests received after October 26, 2012.
The Fall Conference is targeted to the experienced exporter. While there is some "how to" information provided at these conferences, they focus on more complex issues such as: recent policy and regulatory changes; foreign party due diligence reviews; export licensing and compliance requirements for mergers and acquisitions; recent enforcement actions; and customs and shipping issues.
The conference is designed to address prevalent industry issues as highlighted by our membership. Speakers are drawn from the export controls community, including senior government officials from the Departments of State, Commerce, Homeland Security and Treasury.
You must notify SIA’s Business Manager by email at least 48 hrs in advance of the conference if you wish to send a substitute participant. Registered attendees may not "share" a single registration between multiple company personnel without prior coordination (at least 48 hours) and authorization from SIA’s Business Manager.
